Nearly ten months after Carlisle Events launched 2015 with Auto Mania at the Ellentown Fairgrounds in eastern Pennsylvania, the staff of the world's largest automotive events promoter is preparing to s tart its 2016 season with Auto Maniaa, an event that's been up and running since 1990. Auto Mania 2016 will run January 15-17 and is Pennsylvania's largest indoor heated swap meet. The event draws thousands, packs Ag Hall at the fairgrounds, has a waiting list for vendors looking to show and sell their products, and sells out annually. Not only will guests experience the swap meet with all the automotive parts and memorabilia that is for sale, but there will also be classic cars for sale.
The cars and the swap meet are not the only thing that draw people in for the three day event. The neighboring farmers market, held across the lot from Ag Hall, also draws in plenty of people. The market runs Friday and Saturday of the show and has as much variety food wise as the auto event does car parts and memorabilia.
Auto Mania has been packing the 59,000 square foot building for decades and has seen continued growth for this event, including a record year in 2015. The size of the show is so large that it has needed to expand outdoors and while an all-weather event in January doesn't sound like it would be popular, those spaces continue to sell and the demand for more increase annually, as well. Guests can expect to have a great time with like-minded folks with a vast shopping experience for car and truck parts, new and old, plus the thrill of the hunt with hidden gems available.
As stated earlier, there will be a limited amount of classic cars for sale by owner. A few dozen classics can be found within the vending spaces and person-to-person deals are easy to accomplish with the laid back nature of the event. Some cars will be available within the building, while others occupy the space outside.
The Allentown Fairgrounds are less than two hours from New York City, Philadelphia, and Scranton with major roads like I-78, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and Route 22 all nearby. Ample free parking is available.
The event is expected to sell out from a vendor stand point. For details, potential vendors and customers are encouraged to call 717-243-7855 or visit Carlisle Events online at www.CarlisleEvents.com.
