While racing in South Carolina stopped by to visit my friend Chris Ryan a Hot Rod Builder who I know from the car show circuit for the past 8 years.
From Ryan's Rod and Kustom:
Chris Ryan has always been a car guy. At age 10 he was helping his father do body, custom and restoration work in his Pennsylvania shop. As he grew, so did his passion. Seeking to hone his skills through education as well, he enrolled in Penn State, and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1989. Not only did he have years of learning the nuances and artistry of building cars, but he now had the technical know-how to back it up, and to push the envelope further.
In 2003 Chris moved to South Carolina and opened Ryan’s Rod & Kustom. When it opened, it was a small facility specializing in doing great work on a few pieces at a time. And it still is. The shop is state-of-the-art. Chris has the latest welding, cutting, and shaping equipment that you’ll find in the bigger shops. Ryan’s Rod and Kustom has the ability to manufacture a wide range of chassis, body and suspension pieces to set your project apart.
Large shop capabilities and small shop service, that’s what sets him apart. When it comes to choosing the best place for your project, you’ll find lots of reasons to choose Ryan’s Rod & Kustom.
