As Carlisle Events celebrates 40 years during its flagship event, Fall Carlisle, another entity under the Carlisle Events umbrella will be making waves just two blocks from the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds. Fall Carlisle runs October 1-5 at the fairgrounds and is where it all started in 1974 for Carlisle Events; however, just a few blocks away at the Carlisle Expo Center, Carlisle Auctions will offer thrilling collector car excitement with the annual Fall Carlisle Auction. The auction runs October 2-3 (preview day is October 1) and is at the aforementioned Carlisle Expo Center. Auction fun starts daily at 3 p.m. and runs until about 11 p.m. each night.
Within the lot of 300 will be some very unique cars. One such car is part of the Chip Miller collection and is being consigned by Lance Miller, co-owner of Carlisle Events. The car, an unrestored 1956 Corvette, has less than 60,000 original miles on it and is one of just 1,043 to come in Venetian Red. Nearly every aspect of the car is original.
