The 50th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals was a spectacular roller coaster of emotion and racing and at the Sunday Finals, none of the racers held anything back.
Morgan Lucas,who raced part-time this year, used the second and third quickest elapsed times in the history of the 1000 foot era to win his second NHRA Top Fuel National Event of the year. Even after that great accomplishment those fireworks still couldn’t outshine Tony Schumacher winning his eighth Top Fuel championship, Matt Hagan winning his second in Funny Car, Erica Enders-Stevens becoming the first woman to win in Pro Stock, and Andrew Hines gainging his fourth Pro Stock Motorcycle championship.
