| If you want to get invited to Car Shows, this is the car! This 1953 Studebaker has been twice to the World Of Wheels Show in Boston. Won the "Pick of Show" in 2003 and Runner-up in its category in 2005. It has been ranked in the top 100 cars in New England by its presence at the 2006 "Super Wheels Showdown" at the City Hall Plaza in Boston. In 2007, it appeared in the main Ballroom at Mohegan Suns Casino for the "Elite Dream Nachines" Show in Uncasville, CT. Cruisin' New England magazine photographed the'53 Studebaker in 2006. This car is a fabulous cruiser. The Chevy 350 with electronic fuel injection is smooth, powerful and reliable. The Griffin radiator keeps the temperature at 180 degrees on extended summertime trips. The paint is PPG Sterling Silver / Violet Pearl. The flames are subtle but striking. The louvered hood is flawless and the pin striping on the trunk and on the interior add a classy touch. I added the "pimp your ride" type stereo, and it is a blaster. The sound system is highlighted in the trunk (details and photos available). There is specialty lighting on the engine and in the trunk as well as neon under the car. For shows there is a plug that connects to A/C. The '53 Studebaker sports "frenched" headlights and custom taillights. The car had a complete frame-off restoration completed in 2003, just before I purchased it. Pictures of the restoration are available. The restoration included: 700 R4 Transmission, 9 inch rear-end, PST Bushings, Mustang steering, front disc brakes, Hawk dash, Stewart Warner gauges, and the items highlighted above and in the accompanying photographs.
