This is not your daily driver so it's not going to be for everyone...except for the serious driver. The classic looks & beautiful condition of this '55 is contrasted with its brutal power & relative lack of accessories. It's powered by a 502 cu. in. big block Chevy, with a new 780 Holly carb, headers, Winters aluminum intake, HD aluminum radiator with electric fan, transmission cooler, roll bar, Flowmaster exhaust system, and plush interior and trunk area.
The estimated 450-500 hp is transferred thru a 3-sp. auto trans with a Hurst shifter and reverse lockout, then to a Ford 9" rear with 4.11 gears. It thunders down the road on Mickey Thompson 15x11 Sportsman tires mounted on Weld Racing wheels. The fully-tubbed chassis is professionally finished with a 4-point roll bar with a crossbar just behind the seats. Dual batteries are mounted in the trunk with a 12-gallon fuel cell between.
All glass, seals and weather stripping have been replaced. All fender and door gaps are perfect. The body is laser straight with a stock '55 color, two-tone Sea Mist green and India Ivory. Every piece of chrome / stainless has been replaced and in perfect condition. Lightweight bumpers and guards are re-chromed and beautiful.
There is comfort as well as power. Matching carpet with plush gray cloth finishes the interior as well as the trunk area. The drivers’ seat is fitted with a 5-point RJS racing harness with a full view of pro-quality AutoMeter gauges. A set of toggle switches are hidden in the glove box for electric fan and other accessories.
The stereo system consists of a Sony head unit up front, 4 Pioneer 3-way 6x9 speakers, two 10" brass tubes mounted in a custom-built rack replacing the back seat. Both a 10 disc CD changer and MTX Thunder Amp are located in the trunk...currently disconnected.
As a street driven automobile, there are a few stone chips that have been touched up that are hardly seen and don't take away from the overall outstanding condition of this classic. It has been awarded 1st Place in every show that it has been in, including "Best In Show" most outstanding street machine. This high performance and show car could not be replaced for $100,000 and is offered now for $49,995.
