Description
This beautiful automobile was purchased from the previous owner in October of 2004. He lives in the mid-west but had the frame-off restored in California in 2000. The frame-off included the frame being stripped and repainted with POR-15. 2 NOS front fenders, new rocker panels and new rear quarters were installed. Headlights, taillights, the rear license plate and a rear power antenna were frenched, the gas door removed and relocated to the trunk and both front and rear bumpers were re-chromed. All new glass (2 vent windows, 4 side windows, windshield and 3 piece rear window with new rubbers installed. The car was painted with 6 coats of base/clear including door-jambs, dash, steering column and steering wheel.

When I purchased the car I found that the 351W, the C-4 trans and the A/C unit were bad. The 351W was completely rebuilt, a new late model C-4 trans and new converter was installed along with a trans cooler and a new Lokar shifter and the A/C unit was completely rebuilt.

Also installed was a new Fatman rack and pinion power steering system along with a Caddy tilt/tele column using the original '51 steering wheel. The car was then completely rewired with an EZ wiring 18 circuit harness. Elec. windshield wipers were also installed. The front seat was modified to allow an extra 3" of rear travel for taller drivers. New fuel and temp gauges were installed in the dash, a hidden audio system with remote and new seat belts (old style metal buckles) were installed. Underneath, a new Master Power Brake booster with a dual master cylinder, proportioning valve and a complete front disc brake package was installed along with new brake lines and hoses. New front and rear gas shocks and a beefy Fatman front sway bar was also installed. New Diamondback radial wide whites on American Racing chrome reverse smoothies were then added.

In the past month new grey Mercedes Benz carpeting, a complete set of LED taillights, new 2" front lowering springs and a Heavy Duty Interstate battery were installed.

At present there is a little over 5300 miles on the car with approx. 2000 miles on the newly rebuilt and installed items. This gorgeous automobile was not built as a show car although it has won either best custom or best Ford at every show it has been in. I built the car to satisfy myself as a "nice looking driver". I'm not interested in show cars but I want my drivers to have all the "goodies" and look good. This great little car will run 70-75 mph down the expressways on the hottest days with the air on at 160 degrees. You can drive this car anywhere, it needs nothing except for a new owner, so I can finish my new project. This car was originally listed at $35,000 and has now been reduced to $29,000.
