1966 Chevelle

The car is not an SS nor is it an SS clone, but started life as just a simple, plain Jane 136 code Chevelle Malibu with a 283 V-8 & a 2-speed Power-glide automatic transmission.
Guaranteed to be one of the finest pro-touring customs ever built with many “one of a kind” custom features & details that can only be found on this car until it is copied by others. But for now these features separate it from the rest!
--- Very solid & zero rust! -- All body panels & gaps are perfect! -- The color is a beautiful & very popular 1966 Corvette "Nassau Blue" and for a little extra “POP” we had it mixed with LARGE glamour metallic instead of the fine metallic it originally had. The color is astonishing & really explodes coming to life under the sunlight!
The chassis & most all components were powder coated in gloss black.
Engine is a new (Full Roller) including rockers ZZ-502 with a finely tuned 850 Mighty Demon Carburetor on an Edelbrock (Air Gap) intake & it runs extremely strong! It pushes a Dyno tested 550 hp through 3" exhaust with 2 chamber flow masters & the sound is very intimidating!
Providing more than enough tire smoking power than anyone needs but then again, is there such a thing as too much power? --- No, I didn’t think so!
Transmission is Richmond’s new (Super Street) 5-speed overdrive built “Chevy Tough” for high performance & high torque motors. Rear-End is a smoothed over & painted 9 inch Ford with Moser Axles/Chevy bolt pattern, Eaton Posi spool & 3.50 gears. Brakes are Wildwoods finest on all 4 corners. The car rides on Air Ride Techs latest system called (Level Pro) complete with all tubular upper & lower, front & rear control arms, urethane bushings, ultra heavy duty sway bars front & rear, with shockwaves in the front & bags in the rear on a four corner digital leveling system! ---- Wheels are Billet Specialties "Street Stars" 20x10 in rear & 18x7 in front rolling on BFG's. The steering wheel is match set to the wheels with a carbon fiber half wrap that tastefully matches other carbon fiber on the dash & the rear tail panel between the one of a kind custom made LED tail lamps. Air Conditioning is by "Vintage Air" and is called the "Sure Fit" system made & designed to utilize your factory control panel, which on this car is also new. Several little things were changed in this kit in order to make it fit & look cleaner in this car, such as the custom plate under hood on firewall was custom made & the unit itself was moved to the right far as possible so that the hoses could be hidden. Also the two side outlets on dash are custom made housing fitted to Billet Specialty outlet vents. We kept the car with most of its natural beauty such as a factory style interior. Why? Because in my opinion nothing beats the Old School look! And for the fact that I restore Classic Delco radio's from 1963 to 1976 a freshly restored & ultra rare 66 Chevelle AM/FM radio was installed in it along with a NOS Delco 4x10 center dash speaker! This original restored radio kit alone sells for $2000.00!! But we didn’t forget to install a hard pounding sound system as well. A hand made all metal center console was constructed to hold a super nice & powerful remote control CD player that uses USB, I-Pod, MP3, CD, & AM/FM & it sounds “almost” as good as the 3” exhaust!
Most of the factory chrome inside & out was left in place because I think it belongs & adds to the great looks of yesterday! Everything is fresh & new on the Chevelle including the (NEW) smoke tinted, tempered glass all around! This is real smoked glass, not a cheap tinted film.
This 66 Chevelle is well above your average street custom & these pictures just don’t capture its actual appearance, therefore I welcome you to come & see it in person. ---- More pictures upon request.
