Description
1968 Z28 Chevrolet Camaro, Old original (NHRA) Nostalgia Race Car For Sale, 1st time offering for this all original - (90%) #’s matching (1968 Z28/ 302 Camaro), called the “Seaterror”. This car had been in storage by the original owner for almost 25yrs. and has never been offered for sale to the public. I’m the second owner and have owned this car since 1993, when it was released from the original owner. I was given the RARE opportunity to purchase this NHRA National Record Holder from its original owner. Currently the odometer is showing (0.255) miles, all 1/4 mile. It has been documented as the lowest mileage (1968 Z28 Camaro) in the United States. When the car was special ordered it was ordered radio delete and cowl plenum air cleaner assy. Still have the original gold title and warranty protecto plate paper work. Also have lots of documentation, original Drag News, showing the National Record when set, and many misc receipts. Car has never been tagged. Every nut, bolt and body panel are original. The car was sponsored by Rockmont Chevrolet in Rockville, Md. During its reign in NHRA it set the National Record (2-3) times in (D/S-E/S-F/S) at York U.S. #30 Drag Strip, York Pa. The car still looks like it did 40 years ago... ready to race and ready to win. In its two year racing career, the little “Z” set many milestones and was feared and a respected competitor wherever it raced. These pictures were taken in (2007) at the York U.S.#30 Drag Strip Reunion in York, Pa. Currently the car supports a (396-375hp) engine, A/trans. with a full roll cage. In (1989) they decided to go racing again and ran S/SA for a short period of time, and then the car was placed back in storage. This drive train also goes with the car. I have just about everything needed to place this car back to its original condition. I have the engine that they set the National Record with. Also have the- (original 4sp trans./ Dist. / complete smog set up/ original Muncie shifter/ intake / 4053 carb. / etc.). Just recently there has been released a 1:18 scale model of the car, by Exact Detail Replicas. Only (996) were made. Also the car is featured in Jerry MacNeish’s early publication of (1967-68 Z28) Camaros. This car is truly of museum quality. Serious offers only, and "NO" tire kickers.
