| Up for sale is a 1941 Willys pickup. The cab is original 1941 Willys steel, has been chopped a little over 4". All the rust has been fixed, body work completed, doors hung and aligned, new floor, new firewall, and urethane body mounts. The nose is fiberglass, and has been fitted nicely to the cab. Much of the blocking and body work has been done on it as well. It is mounted on hinges and tilts forward. It is secured with Dzus fasteners in the fenders. The frame is custom made out of 4x2 rectangular tubing, and modeled after the original Willys frame. All of the body work and construction was handled by accomplished car builder Bob Urban. Many build pics are available if needed.
The chassis includes a brand new Currie Ford 9 rear end assy, 31 spline axles (5-on-5" bolt pattern), 3.73:1 gears with Detroit locker, nodular iron center section (all brand new from Currie). The rear end assembly includes, brand new Wilwood disc brakes with polished calipers, and brand new Heidt's adjustable coilovers with polished alum bodies and chrome springs.
The front has new leaf springs, Don Long style front axle from Don Waldron, forged early Ford spindles chrome plated, chrome steering arms, tie rod and rod ends, Super Bell Super Stopper Plus front brakes with polished back plates, and polished calipers, and a brand new Flaming River reversed Corvair steering box.
The truck also has new Willys Replacement Parts (WRP) door hinges, WRP exterior door handles, WRP interior door handles, and passenger door lock, and new WRP dovetail guides in the doors and door sills, and both glove box doors. The front wheels are brand new 15x4.5" (4.5" bolt pattern) aluminum kidney bean Halibrand replicas with new BF Goodrich Silvertown 500-15 tires, 15x10 aluminum Halibrands on the rear (dual pattern 5-on-4.5 and 5-on-5") with new M&H 30x14.50 street slicks and brand new tubes. The truck does not include a bed, but I do have 2 pairs of rear fenders. One pair is original Willys. One of these is in fair condition and repairable with some metal patch work needed. The other original fender is in pretty poor condition and would require a lot of masaging by an experienced professional. The other pair of fenders is a generic type which was very typical and popular on Willys gasser pickups back in the 60's. These are in very good condition, no rust, and only a couple of small metal fatigue cracks around the mounting holes.
I have invested a lot of money in this truck, but unfortunately I need to sell it. I bought the best of everything. The front brakes are worth $1,100.00, the rear brakes over $650.00, Currie rear end is $2,400.00, the rear coilovers over $450.00, front axle $400.00, spindles $230.00, $575.00 in rear tires & tubes, $200.00 in front tires, front wheels $950.00, rear wheels $800.00, steering box $360.00. Add it all up and it's $8,115.00. That doesn't include the other misc parts, the purchase price of the truck, the bodywork, the labor, the glass nose, etc... Do the math. You can't build it for what I'm asking.
No title is included with the truck. It didn't have one when I bought it, and I originally planned on applying for a build-type title. Contact me by e-mail for additional pictures or call me in the evenings.
