Description

Some of the coolest but not often seen cars out there is the classic Woodys. This is probably due to their rare status but it is a shame there aren't more cruising around. Nothing says cruising down the highway with the windows down and tunes up like these cars. With a custom built surf rack and brand new vintage style wood surfboard you immediately picture cruising the coast. Part of the reason these cars are so rare is what they are made from. As the name says these cars are graced with wood paneling all over. If these cars were left out and not cared for this paneling would begin to degrade over time. That's not the case with this vintage 1933 Ford Woody that is completely finished out and has a great look. Working with the paneling isn't like just slapping on an aftermarket fender. It requires knowledge of carpentry which is something most car builders are unfamiliar with. The wood paneling on this classic was all hand crafted and coated with multiple coats of clear Polyurethane. This will keep that Maple wood looking like new even if you happen to be caught in the rain. The work that went into it was top notch with all very high craftmanship. Next to this wood you will find the all steel Hercules body. When we say all steel we mean it, even the fenders are steel. The car was built by Hercules Motorcar out of Florida with all the best components. The body is coated in House of Colors Scarlet Orange Candy paint that you have to see to believe. It has an awesome shine that looks even better out in the sun. The exterior chrome has mostly been removed but the polished Aluminum grill is still in place and shining like new. The dual chrome headlights are also in place and working just as they should. In classic street rod style, suicide doors are another cool feature you will find on the car. Lock pins are in place on the interior to insure they are latched close. The car is never housed out doors and always gets any needed tune ups. To make sure the car continues to shine like it does a front bra as well as a car cover are included. The car rides on a set of Hildebrand style polished wheels that look awesome and are wrapped with BF Goodrich tires. Getting this classic down the road is a Chevy 350 crate V8 that runs extremely well. It may have started as your everyday crate motor but we can assure you it isn't anymore. This thing is completely polished out and topped with tons of chrome. It only has 2,881 miles on it so is practically still new. The custom tear drop air cleaner is painted to match the rest of the car along with the valve covers which finish it off well. The air cleaner is graced with custom striping by Dennis Ricklefs which matches the striping on the dash. This theme continues underneath the car with most components being painted or polished. The Ford 9" rear end with 4 bar is a painted item and is framed by coil overs which you will also find up front. The 350 automatic transmission shifts nice and smooth and utilize a Lokar shifter. The exhaust system is nicely routed and even use polished drop downs! The disc brakes in front add a little extra stopping power in addition to the painted drum brakes in rear. The interior is finished out in all Tan leather and is extremely comfortable. The bench seat fits right in place and has bucket style backs. Seatbelts have also been added for extra safety. Along with the billet pedals the car uses all chrome or billet components. The polished tilt steering column looks great and is topped off with a polished Banjo steering wheel. The A/C and heat both work just as they should and are run through polished aftermarket vents. The dash is painted to match the car and is just as cleanly painted as the rest. White faced classic Autometer gauges look perfect against the paint and are mounted in gold bezels. The Sony AM/FM/CD/mp3 player is iPod ready and has a great sound. It is mounted in a hidden spot so a wireless remote is used to operate it. Another awesome feature on the car is the power windows. They are custom set up to use the classic handles and work just as they should. This holds on to the classic look while still being able to have that luxury. The car is in nice condition and runs very well. You will love cruising around and all the attention you get. There will be turned heads or a thumbs up in every window you pass.
