We didn't get the story on this setup….. Maybe someone knows and can fill us all in…..

This is a well known old Lake Racer  from the  "Bean Bandits" of San Diego.  Long time  San Diego Timing Association members and one of the earliest in the sport. This club was founded in the early 50's and is still active today….. Although their lake racers look just a little different today !

Lots of  50's atmosphere around here….  Guys with " DA" haircuts and T Shirts and cool looking 50's cars parked alongside the racing line up.

This must have been a union job…. Right at noon we broke for lunch and the folks from the BBC brought out an array of sandwiches, sodas, pickles and chips.  We all enjoyed a bit of bench racing and then it was back to the filming...
