On Thursday night I went to the Cincy Street Rods "Pre-Louisville Cookout" just to get us all in the mood for the show ! And then on Friday morning it was time to head to "Looneyville" for the Street Rod Nationals…. The BIG ONE…. The Grand Daddy of them all !
It was HOT with temps in the High 90's. On the way down I saw many a hot rod sitting on the side of the highway waiting for the radiator to cool down. Saturday was even more torrid as the temps went over 100 as you will see from the pic I shot inside my PT Cruiser. The gang from NSRA even had ambulances there to help people who might suffer from the intense heat. But…. As expected, the people and the cars were nothing short of AWESOME. Have you seen a nicer '37 Ford than this one. Gorgeous hot rod from top to bottom. Detailed to perfection, vivid colors… look at the engine and firewall. I talked to the owner but didn't get his name. I think he's got the BEAST in the jungle ! |
