It was the 16th annual Car Show in Ottawa Kansas.  It was my first time there and it was a blast!  The 'OVER THE ROAD GANG' really knows how to put on a show.  They give away 2 350 Chevy Crate Motors.  One Saturday evening and another on Sunday at the awards.  It was a great place for a show too.  Plenty of Shade and Parking, too.  The people of Ottawa were very friendly.  It will be one Show that I will be sure to attend again in 2003!  What a great Show.  Check it out!!!

Dan Alvis owns this '59 Chevy truck. It has a small block for power, a TH400 trans, 9 inch Ford with 5.29 gears. The top was chopped 5-3/4". The '59 runs low 11 second 1/4 mile times at 123 mph - that makes it fun for shows OR to cruise around town.

This Lil' Red beauty belongs to Roger Whitaker from LaHarpe, KS.
Roger tells us that it started out to be just a cool driver; but, instead turned into a 9-year project!
