The gent on the left is Jeff Smith, a famous moto cross (called scrambles in that era) World Champion from England, who raced a BSA 500 Thumper in the '50's. (The skinny guy on the right is Ray's buddy, Gary Cessna, whose only claim-to-fame is racing from bar-to-bar on his hog!)
