Hey Gang
Just got back from the Boonesboro Boogie Nationals, hosted by the Southern Knights of Central Kentucky Car Club in Boonesboro, KY.  And as usual these Guys and Gals did everything right, it was a great show.  Even Art Bigelow got it right this year and called to cancel the rain in time for the order to get processed, see Art if you don't wait till the last minute, it works  -  try and remember next year  -  ok.  The Southern Knights are a small car club that makes a big impact on the local communities.  All the proceeds from this show is donated to local charities, they are a big supporter of the Ronald McDonald House in Lexington, KY, having donated, to date, almost $90,000.  One of their main objectives is helping others - especially children.  Over the years they have helped disaster victims, cancer patients, the American Red Cross, Alzheimers Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the list goes on.  Basically what I'm saying is these are good people doing good things for others - my kind of people and I'm proud of them.  Art and the Guys registered 750 cars for this event and it keeps growing, if you've been there you know why, if you haven't, make plans now to attend next years show, trust me, you won't be sorry.  Now to get on to some more very important news.  We have had several people already e-mail us here at HRHL wanting to know the winner of the Minnie's Pick Award was for this event.  Now I have every intention of telling you, but first I gotta get my kicks in making you suffer through all my BS (I do that on purpose you know, am I sadistic or what, I love it).  The winner of the coveted Minnie's Pick Award is - are you ready - From Loveland, Ohio, Weldon and Phylis Haynes with their '54 Chevy Custom.  As usual Minnie you made an excellent choice, but I want to see the Merc Sled which Weldon is finishing up - outta sight.  Til next time, Keep Kroozin'!!!  Jack!!!
