Hi Gang
We got back from the Fall Grand Run in Pigeon Forge, TN, and what a show it was.  Wow, the weather was great and thousands of great cars to see and great friends to talk with, really makes me happy to be a part of it all, hotrodding at its greatest.  The weekend literally flew by.  We arrived on Thursday and already the streets were lined wall to wall with cars and people and it stayed that way all weekend.  Lots of vendors were there to sell all the things you may need to build or finish your car, Hunter's Automotive is a major sponsor, and Johnny and Linda Fruend were there with their crew selling whatever you might need for your ride.  They are really Super people and I, personally, recommend them highly.  My good friends Jeff and his beautiful wife Delisa Smith of Smithbrite Polishing were there along with many other booths displaying their wares.  Everywhere you looked there were beautiful cars to see, I was in Hog Heaven, as the old timers would say.  Jack and Mary Ann from HRHL were there as well as our good friends Butch and Kimberly Pate, it's always a pleasure to visit with them.  I had so much fun I nearly Overdosed on fun, but I was glad to get back home where I could come down from that high, when you get to be my age you just can't handle that much excitement for extended periods of time.  One of these days a great event like this may be the end of me, but, rest assured I will go happy!  I had to slap Minnie around a little in order to bring her back to the real world and the fact she had a job to do - pick just one car for the coveted Minnie's Award (she loved them all).  I think, perhaps, I've inadvertently created a Monster, she likes the shows as much or more than me.  But anyway, after coming down from the show high, she gripped the bull by the horns and did her job by choosing just one car, and if you aren't on the edge of your seat by now, wondering who gets the award, I give up!  The coveted Minnie's Pick Award for this show goes to TA-DA drum roll - Truman and Vanda Morgan from Burkesville, KY, for their fab '55 Chevy.  Excellent choice Minnie!  Now, before you start throwing rotten tomatoes at me, go look at all the great cars.  Until next time God Bless You and keep on kroozin'.  Jack!
