The road to Syracuse began on Sunday July 14th. It's a long trip for us but well worth it !  We look forward to the adventure that summer brings us every year as we travel to some of the best shows in the country.  Jack is always on the lookout for hidden treasure along the road as well as looking for parts for his many projects.  This summer he's looking for some miscellaneous parts for both the '67 Ranchero XL  and the '64 Falcon Sprint Convertible.. "The Hunt".that's the fun part of the whole thing isn't it !   Carefully wrapped and stored in the HotRod Durango is some glass he had left over from the '58 Nomad wagon. A friend from Kentucky needs it and Jack promised to bring it to Louisville.. Hope it makes it intact !   Well. Enough commentary. On with the trip...

Our first nights stop is almost always in Laramie Wyoming. Home of Wyoming Tech.  Behind  the campus dorms there is a field of cars in various stages of disarray.. This wagon is in pretty sad shape !    While in Laramie we had a bit of a problem with our Air Ride Suspension due to the bad highway conditions. Jack got Jason on the phone at Air Ride Technologies and got some excellent technical advice that fixed the problem. Thanks to the great guys at Air Ride Technologies for a great Air Ride System and even better service to go with it !

The rest of the trip to Syracuse was rather uneventful. In Indiana we saw this motorhome with a Biscayne wagon on a trailer but don't know if he was headed for Syracuse or not.  We headed into town two days before the show began so didn't see any more rods on the road as we got into town.

On Thursday at our hotel we began to get a preview of what was in store for the show.. Lots of really nice rods rolling in.

This may seem like a small thing. But on the Interstate near the Offramp for the show.. The Right Coast Assoc. group had signs  directing the participants where to  get off for the show.  This is just a small example of the thoughtfulness shown by this fine organization to both their show participants and the businesses who exhibit with them. They are a great group and treat both participants and exhibitors very well which is one reason that this show has grown so large in just four short years..

One of the first things we saw when we got inside our exhibition building was the 2004 Giveaway car .. This Wild Rod Factory truck is just unbelievable !  The rodder who wins this truck next year will be one happy camper !   Check it out and then see what  YOU can get from Wild Rod Factory.

Our next stop was to see what was new at Richards Stuff..  They have the largest selection of Really Really Cool  "Stuff"  you can think of..  If you miss them at the shows you can see their goodies at  www.Richardsstuff.com   They are adding new products all the time so keep checking their site for the latest.   We LOVE   Richards Stuff and they're great people too !
