Hi All What is your idea when it comes to “perfect” car shows?? A big blow out with lots of cars from all over. Well, I like the big events too! But I also like the little shows, the ones in small towns like Marmaduke, Arkansas (population 1,164 give or take). Marmaduke is about an hour’s drive from here. Not to far and not to close. And the show attracts familiar cars and familiar faces, car hobby friends I enjoy seeing and swapping stories with under one of those big trees that shade the grounds. And new faces and new cars too. Folks from a bit always with fresh stories to tell their new friends while they kick back in the shade. And of course one or two really outstanding cars, like Jeff Peace’s Chevy Wagon with immaculate paint and a perfectly executed surfing theme. Or Kenny Freeman’s super slick ‘32 Roadster. Good food helps. How about a $3 all you can eat buffet hosted by the town’s ladies. And a festival near by with more food (can you spell Bar-Bee-Que?) and amusement rides for the kids. Well, this year’s Marmaduke show had it all. It was really “perfect”. Take a look, I’m sure you’ll all agree. Enjoy..... Steve!!!
