Hi All It’s time for another greaser journey with the rock-a-billy gang. Jason Pauls, Steve Keller and Roger ‘Rooster’ Rose from the Confederate Cruisers, met up with me and Cory (fellow Poor Boys member) for a road trip to the Watertown, TN., Car and Truck Show. It was 31 degrees that morning so we weren’t the only ones shocked to see Cory pull up on his legendary Flyrite Chopper. With only a short downtime due to some loose points we made it to check point two to meet up with the rest of our bunch. When we all rolled into the show together it seemed to stop time as we know it. You’d think people had never seen a primered car before, but 11 in a row seemed to cause mass confusion. After we got settled in, a constant flow of people made it over to our little group all day long to see what all the commotion was about these ‘Rat Rods’. There was a great turn out of original and restored stock cars which was a pleasant surprise. Over 100 hot rodders braved the cold weather and came on out for what turned out to be a beautiful but cool day. All proceeds from this show go to a children’s charity. I had other plans for the afternoon, so I didn’t get to stay for the awards. Rumor has it our bunch was in the running for the Best Club Participation. I hope to hear from one of the guys that stayed to see how that turned out! Meanwhile........... On with the show!!! Butch!!!
