Hi All
Here’s a few pictures taken at the 26th Annual ‘WHEELS OF TIME’ Rod & Custom Jamboree in attendance were over 2,000 of the finest Rods, Rats, Kustoms, & Trucks on the East Coast.... August 27-29, 2004, in Macungie Memorial Park, Macungie, PA. This years special attraction was Norm Grabowski of the ‘Kookie Car’ fame! Norm is a pioneer of street rodding and the ‘Grand Daddy’ of the ‘T-Bucket’. His car was made famous in the TV show ‘77 Sunset Strip’ in the late ‘50’s with Ed ‘Kookie’ Byrnes driving it. Norm latest crazy street rod, the ‘Hillbilly Truck’! Also on the grounds was a AA/Gas Dragster from the East Coast that challenged and beat the West Coast top dragsters way back in ‘61. Connie Kalitta’s famous ‘Bounty Hunter I’ put down the likes of Tom McEwen, Tommy Ivo, Jack Chrisman, the Dragmaster, Lefty Mudersbach and others beat them all at Lions Drag Strip in Long Beach, CA. Check out the display from Eastern Auto Racing Historical Society of vintage race cars and memorabilia encompassing all types of racing from dirt stock cars to Indy type cars. The Kowalski roadster from Reading, PA., direct from Speed Week at Bonneville, Utah.
Through this event WOTSRA helps many local charities and also helps a local Vo-Tech students with scholarships to continue their education in the automotive field. ....WOW! So let’s get on with the show! Njoy...... Big Al!!!
