The Autorama this year was spectacular. The quality of the cars competing for the Ridler award was unreal. The Fawn 36 Roadster built by Foose was my pick. I did not hear who won but it was probably real hard for the judges to decide. I tried to include the cards for all of the great 8 but missed the one on the F-100 with the hydraulic front end and bed. With Wings Callahan playing the tunes and George Barris, Chip Foose, Chuck Lombardo. Geening Auto Company in the crowd, plus they were filming for Rides while I was there Saturday. It was fun. I then grabbed a bite after words at the Hard Rock Cafe Detroit and cruised up Woodward. What a day! |
