The 05 Version of the Firecracker Rod Run in Ferndale, Wa. is in the books as a complete success. Over a hundred vehicles graced the field of Pioneer Park in Ferndale, taking part in the activities scheduled by the Whatcom County Cruising Assn. Friday, a little rain, but the buck-a-bowl chili feed went off well. Lots of liquid consumed if you had the hot one! Saturdays show and shine was under sunny skies and with that weather, a great show was witnessed followed by dinner and a cruise to Birch Bay. Sunday morning after a great breakfast, the raffle and trophies. WCCA also gives an engine and transmission away to registrants. This year was the 20th anniversary and this was celebrated by a special draw for $1,000. The lucky winner had to play a game to get it! They came from far and wide to participate and had a wonderful experience here in Ferndale. Join us next year with a tour to Ferndale for the firecracker
