"The first ever NSRA Show in Milwaukee was a major success no matter how you looked at it. There were 1,200 to 1,500 cars from all over the northern part of the country. There were a number of fine new rides that debuted at this event, and some cars we've all seen before in the magazines were there too. Paul LeMat, who played John Milner in "American Grafitti" was there, signing autographs and digging the "Oldies" tunes that played all weekend. For the ladies who had had enough Hot Rodding, there was a great shopping area, as well the indoor vendors area that had displays showing the latest stuff available for your favorite ride. For the guys with a pocket full of money and no fear, there was the opportunity to drive a NASCAR race car around the oval track. And, finally, no trip to Milwaukee would be complete with eating a Bratwurst or two, and they could be found everywhere. Looking forward to next year's event."
