The Somernites Cruise Team held their June Cruise In on 6-25-05 in Downtown Somerset, Ky and Minnie and I were there to enjoy it and take pics for your enjoyment. The weather was great and the Cruise In was another great success. This Cruise In is growing in leaps and bounds. Many area businesses are now getting in the act, ie Wal Mart now has a block party on Friday night and I was there for the first one and it was great, with over 200 show cars in attendance and 6 or 7 Kids Rides etc. and for the Adults, a live band was on stage performing. Wal Mart gave away a set of new GoodYear Tires in addition to many lesser items, and at the same time there were various other businesses with their own brand of festivities, like a Burn Out Contest at Bastins Steak House and A parts store had a Dyno Machine set up for you to check the horsepower output on your ride. Hemmings Motor News Muscle Machine Magazine recently listed Americas Best Cruise Nights and the Somernites Cruise, in Somerset, Ky was number 4 on their list. Does this tell you that this Cruise is getting some National Attention. This Cruise In is held on the 4th Saturday of each month, with the next one being on July 23.
