On Saturday July 23,05, the Somernites Cruise Team held their July edition of The Somernites Cruise in Downtown Somerset, Ky. In spite of the terribly hot temps there were still about 1000 cars registered. And you remember me telling everyone how this is the place to be, well some folks are listening, I talked to one couple, Paul and Jill Edwards who live in New Zealand but came over to attend the Somernites Cruise in addition to other major car events. Now, when rodders start coming from overseas to the Somernites Cruise you know its Good. I want to break the news here and now that next months will really be the biggie and you will definitely want to make this one, because this makes 5 years for the Somernites Cruise and they are planning a Big Reunion, they are sending flyers to everyone whom has attended a Cruise in the last 5 years and Inviting them back for a Reunion, and if that isn�t enough, the Crew from Horsepower TV will be back to film another Documentary on the Cruise, and plan on doing a longer segment on it this time, combine this with the big Blow Out that Wal Mart plans on Friday Night and you have all the ingredients for a Fun Overload, Warning - have fun in moderation, but have plenty, who says that, I say that. I would like to personally invite all my friends to attend this one, I would like to see the car count exceed 2000. Friends what we have here is the making of a new Pigeon Forge, in a few short years, without all the traffic problems. So mark it on your calendar now, August 27, Somernites Cruise in Somerset, KY.
