The Grand National roadster Show was held at the Los Angles county fairgrounds on January 20th -22. This is the the show where the most respected car builders in the country compete for the title of Americas most Beautiful Roadster. Builders and designers like Chip Foose walked the hall overseeing the set up of their creations, while still taking the time to say hello to other builders and people enjoying the show. The entries came from all over the country to try and win the top spot of the most beautiful roadster. A car that gave everyone some concern was a car built by Steve Tracy of Advanced Plating of Nashville Tn. He had people stopped in their tracks with his car named Chromezilla named for a car that was hard to look at due to the high quality chrome of most moving and stationery parts. The show that had been held for the past 57 years was purchased by John Buck a new promoter on the show circuit. John took this tremendous task and put some life into the 57 year old standard. He had help from Sponsors like the Auto Club of southern California, Kearth Radio, The Recycler, Meguiars Wax and others. The event started on Thursday the 19th over 400 plus entries arrived by trailer, tow truck and driving in from all parts of the country. The set up of the cars took several hours .On Friday the show opened at 12:00 noon and for the balance of the day and the rest of the weekend thousands of people walked the halls and looked at one car after another with comments like that is the most beautiful car I ever saw or look at that paint. The owners of the vehicles were proud to have participated in this great event.
