The 20th Anniversary of Hot August Nights was incredible. Even though official registrations were limited to 5,500. (Don't quite understand why there is a limit at all) Estimates we heard tossed around were 15,000 to 20,000 hot rods and classic cars in town for the event. City officials estimated that the population of Reno/Sparks doubled to 850,000 during Friday, Saturday and Sunday...and I think they were pretty close with those numbers. I took quite a few photos at all of the venues: Reno, Sparks, The Hilton Hotel, The Atlantis Hotel, The Peppermill Hotel, the HAN Swap meet and a few other places where hot rods gathered.
