I warmed up my 39 Chevy and drove 200 miles +- to McAllen, Tx., down on the Rio Grande. This was the 19th Annual Rio Grande Valley AACA Old Car Festival, a Good Old Fashion get together show & shine. 1 can of food for the food bank was the entry. Tommy Pipkin(pres.) and others(a lot of them) put on a great show. Over 350 + cars showed up, no pressure of judging??? There was a 1st showing for a new Downs 37 P/U owned by James Cammeron, what a ride! There was lots of food, vendors, good music and friendly folks. They had a Veterans Day Program and drawings for prizes. The weather was great, just a lot of fun. Dale Davidhizar
