These are pictures of the �California Mini-Nats,� a car show put on by Wayne Bushey of National Nostalgic Nova (NNN) and Golden State Novas (GSN) car clubs. GSN is a chapter of NNN. This show was sponsored by Walt Anders, a GSN member and owner of Classic Nova & Performance out of Oregon.
The Mini-Nats is a show for Chevrolet Nova�s only, and was held on the 19th and 20th of August 2006 in Rancho Cordova, CA. We had cars not only from California, but Arizona and Oregon, with one entry from British Columbia.
Nova�s do not get as much press as the more popular Chevelles and Camaros. I thought some of the visitors to the Hotrodhotline site might enjoy seeing a bunch of Nova�s all together!
Since the sponsor gets to choose the winner of the :Best of Show� award, this fell upon Walt, who had a difficult time deciding which car would get the honor. He finally decided upon a recreation of Grumpy Jenkins A/S 66� Nova, which was good enough to have Grumpy himself autograph it!
We were fortunate to have good weather, because typically the Sacramento area is quite hot at this time of year. Saturday evening brought a cruise to the Red Robin and a good time was had by all the entire weekend!
