Portland Swap Meet Portland, Or April 7-9, 2006 Pictures By Jack Lawford 2 Pages
The Portland Swap meet is among the largest in the country with 4500 booths and it's a "Must go" for our fearless leader Jack Lawford who is always on the prowl for parts. This year Jack found some moldings for his Sprint Convertible that he has been hunting for over 4 years now ! The weather is always rainy for the swap meet in April but that doesn't deter the car guys on a mission for that missing part. We actually had 2 very nice sunny days before the rain hit so really enjoyed it.
It seems this year was busier than usual and we handed out thousands of goodies..... decals, flame kits, and bags. Jack got a few pictures so you can get the feel of the meet.... take a look....
It's always great to see our good friend from HotRod Library, Jim Clark. Jim was the first editor of Street Rodder Magazine and he has so many great stories to share. We highly recommend the excellent books from Hot Rod Library .... especially the latest Chassis Book ..... Check out the selection at www.Hotrodlibrary.com
Wescotts has been making the greatest fiberglass bodies around for over 50 Years ! Talk about a track record ! There are many people jumping on the bandwagon for 32 Fords these days but Wescotts is the industry leader... Wescotts also makes hardware for early Ford cars .... take a look ...
