"The Bastrop Area Cruisers Car Club is a very active group and one of their events has become kind of a tradition here in the Austin area.....Bar B Q and Fireworks celebrating the 4th of July. Bastrop is located about 25 miles east of Austin, Texas in the piney woods, and each year the B.A.C. takes over a parking area on hiway 71 where they serve up a great Bar-B-Q meal that is strong on the desserts!! They invite the area car clubs, and after eating it's time to "kick some tires" until the fireworks that are put on by the City Of Bastrop. While it looked a lot like rain (will it ever stop here?!?), things stayed dry and a great fireworks show was enjoyed by all. If your in the Cental Texas area, this is a great way to celebrate the nations birthday with fellow rodders." |
