A tip of the hand goes out to Bob Edmonds of Vacaville and his daughter Tracy of Sonoma, for their efforts in planning a executing a great day in the wine country around Sonoma and Napa counties. We started with a great breakfast at Pearl’s Restaurant in Sonoma. Then cruised west to the Benziger Winery In Glenn Ellen where we were taken on a special guided tour through the vineyards, winery and ending with a little tasting at the gift store. Benziger Family Winery is one of just a few biodynamic wineries in the region. The only growing supplements that are used on the grapes are produced on the premises. We toured two other wineries and ended our day in Fairfield with a late lunch at Kinder’s Indoor BBQ. |
