The 22nd Annual Firecracker Rod Run in Ferndale, WA was held July 6,7,8 and had something for everyone. This is one of the great events for all the family, and it showed!
Friday, one does not want to miss the “Buck-a-Bowl” chili feed, and while checking out the early arrivals, get a look at all the great raffle prizes.
Saturday morning the Show and Shine field begins to fill and eventually had over 150 cars. During the day the poker run and car games help fill in the time. The kids have their games as well. Wolfman spins the tunes and chatters up a storm all day and keeps you listening! Dinner is served after the day is done and then a great tour to Birch Bay, WA. to watch the sun set in the west and kick a few tires.
Sunday morning breakfast is followed by the award presentations. The raffle prizes are dispersed along with the engine and transmission, built by Whatcom County Cruising Assn. members and awarded to two of the lucky participants.
The Whatcom County Cruising Association do a fantastic job with this event year after year. This is a cruise attended by folks from both sides of the border and enjoyed by all!
