Critically Acclaimed Film Maker, Paul Wright (The "Hot Rod Round Up" DVD--www.hotrodroundup.com) is an Austin area hot rodder with an English accent (not to mention a couple of the finest roadsters known to man!), and he and his wife are the driving force behind the Brothel Creepers Vintage Hot Rod Association Annual Hot Rod Picnic and Vintage Aircraft Fly-In held in Kingsbury, Texas.

The weather this year was a little threatening, but it didn't keep anybody from showing up, whether they drove or flew to get there. It was a fine turnout of both planes and rods!
This year, for the first time, there were trophies given out to the Top Five hot rods and a bonus trophy for the Deuce Anniversary "Best Deuce", won by Paul Brault from Austin.
Area Boy Scouts were on hand to direct traffic and help out, and they had a fine flag raising ceremony.

One of the highlights of the day for the past couple of years is when Colin Casey and his flathead powered Deuce coupe take on a bi-plane in a race down the grassy runway! As usual, the plane won, but it getting a "flying start" just doesn't seem fair!!
It was a great day for hot rodders, pilots and spectators!"
