Hey Gang, Its now History and it set a new record! In case you are wondering what I am talking about, I'm talking about the Somernites Power Cruise hosted by the Somernites Cruise Team on July 28, 2007, where Somernites Cruise Members went to 6 different Cities in south central USA and all led hotrodders to Somerset, Ky where they were fed a Barbecue Lunch before going to Downtown Somerset for the Cruise In activities. Things got off to a rocky start on Saturday morning with widespread rain showers, but as the morning progressed the weather also started to improve and ending up being perfect. The Power Cruise leaders started arriving and cars and spectators began arriving in droves. The Power Cruise, in my opinion, was an absolute success with the number of cars being registered breaking the old record, I don't have the exact number but I do know it is in the neighborhood of 2000. I know there were so many people there it made it very hard for me to get as many pics as I would have liked to. I feel like this Event is becoming one of the best events in the nation, and if you have ever attended you will have to agree. There are so many things to do, you aren't faced with overcrowding, there is no charge for attending and the local business don't overcharge you for their services, you are greeted by the wonderful Southern Hospitality, the Event its self is orchestrated like a well oiled machine. I could go on and on, but surely, by now, you are getting the Idea, if not I will spell it out for you, Somernites Cruise is the place to be! Minnie and I had a GREAT time and already we are making plans for next years Event, but until then , we look forward to next months event, we will be looking for you there on August 25. For all our friends who are going to Louisville for the NSRA Nationals, we look forward to seeing you there. We will be arriving on Thursday and look forward to seeing everyone, until then, May God Bless You and Yours from Minnie and Myself, and remember, Keep on Kroooooooozin! Jack
