"The Hill Country Street Rods club from Austin, Texas has been putting on this "Show And Go Nostalgia Drags" for quite some time now. It's a chance to not only show off how stylish your rod is, but also how good it runs!! With bracket racing and a car show competition, this one has something for everyone, and the cars were lined up early waiting for the gates to open.
The Temple-Academy Dragway is a historic Central Texas dragstrip dating back to the early days of drag racing, and, nestled under huge pecan trees along the banks of the Little River, it's a great place to spend the day with the family and a picnic. Or, if you're as lazy as I am, the snack bar makes a great burger and fries!
