Every year in mid-summer the Back Alley Cruisers organize and host a car show in conjunction with Washagofest, a summer festival held in a beautiful lakeside park by the town of Washago, Ontario, Canada. This year's show took place on August 4th, 2007. It is almost impossible to describe this show: the Back Alley Cruisers are for the most part a group of aging street rodders, complete with big bellies, gray beards, and long hair or no hair. They have more fun than any ten clubs! They are definitely a fun-loving (and car-loving) group. Throughout the car show, their resident DJ plays oldies and country music, and he keeps up a patter of witty (?) comments. His monologue becomes a little more vulgar as the day wears on... never to the point of obscenity, but he does come close. This is certainly NOT the show for the sensitive or the politically correct!!!!!! Just check out the dash plaque! Duncan Craig (Retired and loving it!)
