Well, when I went to Deuce Day in beautiful Calistoga, my friend Perry Ashworth went to the Alviso Roadster Run in dry Austin, Nevada. Austin is in the high country at 6, 600 foot altitude on highway 50.
The Roadster Club held their 6th annual BBQ and gathering before traveling on to Bonneville for Speed Week on the Salt Flats.
From the pictures I can see that Austin does not have a lot of traffic, so you can cross the street safely and not worry about cars or cattle trucks. As you can see from the pictures the guys did not go far from the BBQ.
The cars were packed for travel and some had bicycles to ride around on the salt flats. After some good food and tire kicking the roadsters
