The 5th annual George Barris’ Cruisin’ Back to the 50’s Culver City Car Show was held on Saturday, May 10th, 2008. George Barris, car customizer whose creations include the Batmobile, the Musters’ Koach, the Beverly Hillbillies’ jalopy, Herbie the Love Bug and the General Lee from “The Dukes of Hazzard” and so many more great vehicles for the Movies & TV was there and brought along some of his great creations. In addition were more than 400 classic hot rods and customs and original survivor cars were displayed among the streets of Culver City. The show also provided live entertainment with a Doo Wop group followed by a Rock N’ Roll group; the music could be heard throughout the show via a speaker system that was installed at strategic locations throughout. In addition to many local eateries the Culver City Fire Department cooked up yummy pancakes and sausage. Enjoy the pics……
