On Sunday, September 7th the Bay Shore Rodders hosted the Annual Belmont Shore car show; participants start lining up as early as 4:30 a.m. for this event and the parking of vehicles starts at 7 a.m. Watching the cars drive by to get to the end of the line is a rolling car show in itself. The car show officially starts for the public by 9 a.m. and ends sharply at 3:30 p.m. Belmont Shore is near Long Beach California and is a great site for the car show as it's just a couple of blocks from the ocean. I arrived at 5:00 a.m. in the pre-dawn morning to get in line and watch the parade of cars drive by to get in line. Oh yah…forgot to mention that while waiting in line the Bay Shore Rodders come by and serve up donuts; how’s that for service! The day started off cool but soon the overcast was cleared by a soft sea breeze and we experienced one of those “just right weather” car show days. Over six hundred classics and hot rods were parked on the streets, side streets and local business parking lots and the heavy pedestrian traffic crowded through the town throughout the day. This is a great car show which I look forward to every year and I’ve yet to be disappointed.…..enjoy the pictures!
