The 11th Annual Bowtie Bash, which is put on annually by Golden State Novas (GSN), was held again at De Anza College in Cupertino, California on June 14, 2008. It was another great show with two awesome top winners: the “Best of Show” award went to a twin turbo small block ‘64 Chevelle that sits on a full air ride suspension and is owned by Chris Flatmoe of San Jose, Ca. The “Bad to the Bone” award went to a 7-second “66 Nova with a 632 cubic inch big block owned by Scott Moore, also of San Jose.
The show is on Campus, which is a beautiful setting in which to show off some of California’s finest! Once again the Scott Garcia Band was back to entertain us.
As you can see from the pictures, the cars/trucks shown were some of the best Bowties around with many taking a “Peoples Choice Top 25” award.
GSN donates a portion of our income from Bowtie Bash to De Anza’s Automotive Technology Program, which is acknowledged to be one of the best in the country.
