Cruisin’ Destination Daytona
Goes Off In Between Rain Showers

By Carroll Hamilton

The January edition of Cruisin’ Destination Daytona came close to being the first rain out since the event's inception nearly two years ago. With rain in and around central Florida all day long the outlook was gloomy. But the skies cleared, the sun came out, and a number of Cruisin’ Destination Daytona diehards made the trek, had some fun, and left as the next wave of showers hit.

The weather forecast (80 % chance of rain) kept the car count down, as well as the spectator crowd. But, for those who braved the weather a good time was had, as always.

The theme for the January Cruisin’ Destination Daytona was Mighty Muscle and a number of muscle cars were on hand. Dennis and Joan Souza picked up the "Best Hardtop Muscle Car"
with their 426 Hemi powered 1969 "Cuda",
