Showin’ off for Elks
07-05-08
Huntington Beach, CA.
Story and photographs by Roger Rohrdanz

These Elks were very friendly. The local Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Elks needed some Hot Rods to show off to visiting out of state Elks. Art Tocco was the “Elk in charge”. He brought his very nice ’68 Pontiac GTO to the event. The weather was clear and the temperature was in

the high 70’s. About 50 Hot Rods and Classics showed up. The parking was very comfortable with room for participant’s chairs around their cars. Lunch was provided as was a tour of the impressive Lodge. This Lodge does a great job raising money for disadvantaged and crippled children. There is something special about a car show for, “non-gearhead”, regular people. They seem to really appreciate seeing the variety on display.   Thanks for the Show!
