vehicles in attendance which drew a large audience of onlookers. Many of the cars I had never seen before which always makes for an interesting day and some awesome photo opportunities. The Kingsmen were even allowed “out” for the day and seemed to be enjoying their freedom.
The awards ceremony began with a tribute to one of our fallen rodders, Dennis Mills. The MC explained the story of how his buddies vowed to have his car at the show first in line, which was something that Denny was known for. Well, despite a valiant effort (flat tire) they failed to complete their mission, even though Denny’s car did make it to the show, just not first. Good job guys!!! Many thanks to the Cruzaders for the marvelous day and to our friends the Leene’s, Orbea’s and Dunnings for waiting around while we took our 5 minutes of fame. See you next year Fircrest. Lindee
