Located right on the Texas Gulf Coast, Freeport is usually a little windy in March but the Joy Ride opens up the outdoor car show season in the Houston, TX area so it’s highly anticipated. Old cars and old friends are back, new cars are debuted and new friends are made and the participants and spectators come out in droves for the annual event. Up until last year I lived in north Houston but I relocated to Pearland just south of Houston so my trip to the Freeport Joy Ride was cut in half. I would still make the trip but with gas prices on the rise, every little bit helps and that’s why my hat goes off to all who participated in the event. Hope to see everyone back again next year. |
