"Every year the Hill Country Street Rods car club hosts "The Nostalgia Drags Show-N-Go" at Central Texas' oldest drag strip, Temple Academy Raceway, which is a little over an hour north of Austin. This get together features nostalgia dragsters, bracket racing, flathead eliminator, and car show. Located alongside scenic Texas highway 95 and shaded by huge pecan trees, Little River (as it's called by the locals) is a laid back and comfortable place to spend a day, whether you are out to break into the 10's on the strip or just hang out and kick tires with other gear heads.
The only mis-hap this year came when Bob Lawsons blown big block powered Henry J decided to hang a turn right out of the gate. Bob was fine, but not so for the Henry J! But if I know Bob, he's already workin' on another one!"
