	Jack Hill’s Birthday 07-20-08 Garden Grove, CA. Story and photographs by Roger Rohrdanz

The “Summer Cruise ‘08” was put on by The Hillco Fastener Warehouse. It was a way for owner Jack Hill to celebrate his 70th birthday with his friends and customers. The weather couldn’t have cooperated any better. As you might guess, all kinds of vehicles use fasteners. That will explain the variety of cars, trucks, motorcycles and more that showed up. About 125 cars in all found spots around the warehouse. Thanks for the Show!

Which one of these artifacts was born in 1938? Both, your right! The one on the right is birthday boy Jack Hill and he doesn’t have as much “junk in the trunk” as the ’38 Ford Panel.

The area around Hillco was full of cars

A very cool ’69 Camaro SS 396 is owned by Victor Villasenor from Garden Grove, CA.

“McNasty” a 871 blown, 496 cu in Chevy powered, ’72 Ford Maverick and is owned by Brian & Judy from Cypress, CA.

This “GREEN” ’72 Chevy Nova belongs to James Taylor (no relation) of Buena Park. CA.

Arnold Alpert brought his very well done ’62 Oldsmobile Starfire convertible from Fountain Valley, CA.

This small block Chevy powered ’40 Chevy Coupe carried Terry Berzenye here from Huntington Beach. CA.

Rose Daleiden from Westminster, CA. drove her rare ’59 Ford Skyline hardtop convertible

All I know is called a “Henderson”? It’s perfect and very odd looking.

From Mount Baldy, CA. this John Cooper signed edition ’73 Mini Cooper belongs to Bruce Ball.
