Well, this year was an adventure running up to Logan Utah for the Cache Valley Cruise In (formerly Logans Run). Right on the start of the trip I lost my front brakes, so I had to drive real careful all thru Nevada, Arizona and Utah. But, I made it OK. The Club that puts on the show sent me to Discount Tires who dropped everything to rebuild my master cyl. They had it done in about 4 hours! Thanks Guys!
2 Highwaymen Kim and Dennis came down from the back to the 50's show and met me in Logan along with my parents from Idaho in their bitchin 38 chevy. There was also many people formerly from Ventura county there that we hang with every year. It was great seeing everyone again. The food they provide at this show is unmatched anywhere I have been. Chicken and steak and potatoes and chocolate pecan pie! And we found an ice cream and soda fountain that was original since 1914! The original bar is there where you sit and the whole back is white marble! Great REAL chocolate shakes and my Mom got a chocolate soda!
The show was great as usual with around 2000 cars. They gave away a 69 charger and a 19 year old hot rod girl won it! She was stoked and knew her stuff. The weather was around 100 or so but a breeze kept it nice. See you next year! Adam Caldwell, Ventura Highwaymen
