June 13, 2008 The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum puts on a monthly Twilight cruise for vehicles built pre-1970. The cruise is held on the first Wednesday of the month, from April through December, with the exception of September, when the Los Angeles County Fair is going on. Then the cruise is held on the first and last Wednesday in August. The Sponsor of the Museum is the Auto Club of Southern California and this fine organization has been supporting car groups and racing for over a century, as well as auto safety and road assistance. June 12, 2008 This years JuneBug aircooled show ended up being smaller due to the weather. Move in time was at 9 am and the rain ended at about 8:30 am. The roads were very wet and the threat of more rain kept some of the folks from coming out and putting their cars on display but, it didn`t rain another drop the whole day. May 13, 2008 New Zealand’s No 1 Nostalgia Festival was set to be a boomer from the start with over 1300 Hot Rods and Classic Cars pre-registered for the 5 day event. May 1, 2008 My friend Perry Ashworth went on a rod run to Austin, Nevada last week and sent me pictures. Now many of you are going to say That I have never heard of Austin, Nevada. Well, it is a small almost forgotten mining town of maybe 300 people on the old Lincoln Highway. This was the way west before the big new interstate came through farther North.
